Et al has been a staple of The Highlands since 2014 and has recently moved to a larger location just down the road from the original. Known for its amazing food and large catering events, et al is rapidly expanding. With the beautiful outdoor patio bustling with customers, our 25 foot outdoor bar is a go-to location for locals, Seastreak riders, and beach goers throughout the summer and beyond.
Counter Server/Barista
A dream position for any Barista. Beautiful Espresso machine and creative beverages
Et al is looking for ambitious Counter Servers/Baristas who are willing to hit the ground running, serving our signature espresso beverages. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional service in a mature and family-oriented environment. We are known to locals for our welcoming atmosphere, quality beverages, and a clientele that appreciates getting to know our team by their first names.
Being a part of the et al team means learning career escalating skills that can lead to growth within the company as well as be transferred to different areas in the Hospitality field.
Responsibilities:
Welcoming customers, informing them about specials or new items, answering questions, and accepting orders and payments.
Preparing foods, such as sandwiches or baked goods, and grinding and blending coffee beans, brewing coffee and tea, and serving items to customers.
Packaging food and beverages for sale.
Selling coffee and tea blends and brewing equipment, highlighting the differences between items, and educating customers about brewing methods.
Cleaning and restocking work and dining areas, emptying trash and sanitizing equipment and utensils.
Learning about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation, and presentation techniques to improve food quality.
Updating signage and displays to attract customers.
Taking inventory and replenishing items in display cases, at tables, or behind the counter.
Working as part of a fun, high-energy team.
Adhering to all food safety regulations and quality controls.
Requirements:
Experience in food and beverage preparation or customer service preferred.
Training and willingness to continue learning about food and beverage preparation.
Exceptional listening and communication skills.
Ability to walk, bend, and stand for extended periods.
Availability to work around peak hours, including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
A polite, engaging personality.
Commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence.

Salary: Up to $18.00 per hour
Bartender
A dream position for any bartender where you are home before midnight as we believe in quality of life for our employees.
Et al is looking for ambitious bartenders who are willing to hit the ground running, serving our signature cocktails, local beers, and specialty sourced wines. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional service in a mature and family-oriented environment. We are known to locals for our welcoming atmosphere, quality beverages, and a clientele that appreciates getting to know our team by their first names.
Being part of the et al team means mixing and serving alcoholic beverages based on customer requests. Further requirements include verifying the identification and age of customers, preparing and serving alcoholic beverages, accepting payment from customers, cleaning glasses and bar. Warming food and creating small plates for customers. Open and maintain tabs throughout their shift practicing the “ring it then bring it” strategy at all times.

Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
- Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, champagne, and mixed cocktails.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour plus tips
Server/Host
